During the upgrade, each Live@edu account becomes two separate accounts: an Office 365 account and a personal Microsoft account. The Office 365 account and personal Microsoft account can both be accessed with the same Live@edu user name and password after the upgrade, the accounts are not associated with one another and changes to one account will not affect the other.
The Office 365 account and the personal Microsoft account are at the same level. The Office 365 account will not create any Live accounts. There's no way to create multiple Windows Live accounts using scripts.

That is, administrators can't reset the password for the account and administrators can't delete the account. Thus, pupils can always use this account to access their SkyDrive data, Windows Live Messenger contacts, and other Microsoft services.
