1. Did this issue occur when you login to Office 365 portal? (https://portal.micorsoftonline.com/)
2. May I know more details about the “alias email account” you mentioned?
3. Could you send and receive email normally by using the Outlook client?
4. As you mentioned: “We cannot use our business email address as the password is rejected unless we bypass with a web link.”, could you offer us the web link?
