Hello
I've recently completed a cutover migration from Exchange 2003 to Office 365. All has gone OK, all users, groups contacts, etc. seem to have gone across, and it appears to have been synchronizing every day as it should, all AOK. I’ve been adding users, contacts and groups as per normal onto my on premises Exchange server. These newly added on-premises users, contacts and groups do not appear in the office 365 account even after the daily automatic synchronization. What I've done is; resumed the original migration task in the migration section of the exchange admin center, and all the newly created on-premises users now appear on Office 365, all OK.
However, now I've noticed that the originally migrated users have stopped being updated every 24 hours which happened before. The newly migrated ones continue to update every 24 hours as they should, but the original ones have not updated since I carried out the re-run of the migration.
I've checked the log on the failed mailboxes, which are all the ones pre re-run of migration and we have the following error:'Error: ProvisioningFailedException: The name "persons-name" is already being used. Please try another name'
I'm assuming that it couldn't create this user when I re-ran the migration job and it ignored it which is exactly what we wanted it to do. However, it has stopped the data copy to these mailboxes also which we don't want. We still need it to copy the data from the on premises mailbox every 24 hours as it did before until I move the MX records etc. How do I restart the syncing of the data every 24 hours to these mailboxes?
Many thanks.
