Hi Mike,
I understand
that after the service upgrade, you have two websites domain.sharepoint.com and domain-public.sharepoint.com.
And now you would like to change the address of the new website to domain.sharepoint.com and then delete
the old website.
However, we
have to say sorry that at present, it is not feasible to change the default
website address. As you have noticed, if we need to change the website address,
we can only add a custom domain customdomain.comto Office 365, and then use the domain as the website address, www.customdomain.com. Sincerely sorry
for any inconvenience it may bring.
But
honestly to say, we can understand the requirement of address changing. Domain.sharepoint.com is more
easy-to-remember, and as the old website address, when users want to visit the
site, they do not need to take time to remember a new address. This helps a lot
for the website’s daily operation. We will forward your opinion to the related
teams. If it is convenient, we also invite you to submit feedback about this
requirement here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-US/suggestions.aspx?origin=FX102821134&CTT=114.
Our product team will collect all your valuable feedback, and based on them,
try making the product more user-friendly.
Thanks for
your time and efforts.
Best
Regards,
Ella Huang
