If you use Office 365 after upgrade plan, you can try the following steps to access light version of OWA. This is just a workaround currently.
1. Open Notepad, and then copy the Outlook Web App URL from the address bar of the browser to Notepad.
In this example, copy the following URL to Notepad:
https://pod51042.outlook.com/owa/?realm=contoso.com&wa=wsignin1.0#modurl=0
2. In Notepad, remove everything after "owa/" in the URL.
In our example, after removing everything after "owa/", the URL looks like this:
https://pod451042.outlook.com/owa
3. Type ?layout=light at the end of the URL.
In our example, the URL now looks like this:
https://pod451042.outlook.com/owa/?layout=light
4. Paste the URL from step 3 to the address bar of the browser in your Outlook Web App session. Doing this enables the light version of Outlook Web App.
Note Bookmark or add the URL to your Favorites in your browser so that you can go directly to the light version of Outlook Web App instead of typing the URL every time.
